I'm currently at war with a Nigerian Creative Writing teacher, because we utterly disagree about the point where one sacrifices literary beauty and creativity for the sake of clarity, and the appeasement of a wider audience. For her, it leaves her work sounding about as linguistically thrilling as "See Spot Run," and it leaves mine sounding like a paid-by-the-word Dicken's novel. We're at extreme, opposite ends of the spectrum and neither of us are in the right, but finding a happy medium is proving to be quite the bitch.

One of my jobs is at a retirement home. Now, for the most part I like the residents, a lot of them are really cool. However, it is very, very not cool when a guy in his nineties spends your entire shift staring at your boobs. And then tries to give you extra work so you have to stay late while he looks down your shirt. Especially when you can't say anything without risking your freaking job!

Bwahaha, we aim to please. I've never felt bad about writing long posts, just posts that were painful to read. I figure, maybe it's okay to write a long post every now and then so long as the whole length is enjoyable.

Bwahaha, it's like having a switch you can turn off and on and yet somehow the switch breaks while its on the on position. I mean sure, having it around all the time might not be some horrible fate, but the flexibility to change positions was nice to have.
... *sigh* There it goes again....
