At the end of the day, writing is another form of communication, if one can effectively communicate the feelings and experience of everyone involved in a scene, it paints a better picture, that's the benefit of an omniscient narrator. Now of course, not every story follows that format, but even when the view is confined to a single character, letting that character discover the nuances of some other bit player, even an antagonist, emulates the struggle we have each day to empathize with those around us. Tying that struggle to one's readers makes for excellent work.

Aww... well those experiences and emotions don't HAVE to be tragic or bad by default (though, lets face it, those are the most thrilling to write and to read), I suppose you could apply the same concept to euphoria, lust, battle frenzy, even deep and abiding camaraderie. Which we are then tempted to defile... and... well... yeah... the charries hate us, it's a thing.

Currently? I'm wondering why the HELL I put myself back into Education now that it is by definition no longer compulsory for those of my age/birthyear. When my teachers give me work that is either somewhat irrelevant or I can't actually do it becuase my school internet is that f***ed up?! *Pants* I think I feel better now... Anyone up to a thread?  |
