Gear: Like most mages Marcus Carry's a staff and a few tomes he took when he was still a Magister. Marcus Carries a Staff with a Dragon's mouth on one end and a heavy butt on the other for bashing people The Staff fires flame Projectiles and helps channel his Magical energy through rune's carved along it.
CHARACTERISTICS
Appearance:Marcus is a fairly tall standing at 6'0 and weighs close to 195lbs. He has long black hair that reaches his's mid back though when working he often keeps it in a pony tail. His eyes are red and seem to hold a power behind them that comes from his skill with Magic. He often wears black robes with blue streaks down his legs as well as yellow trim, He also keeps a light green sash around his waist and wears a forest green cloak over his shmulders. He also wears a brown leather cord around his waist with a small green gem on the end Marking him as a former member of the Magister council.

HISTORY
Marcus was born into a typical Tevinter family his father serving as a commander in the army and his mother was a mage and also a student under a ranking magister.His youth was spent mostly reading and aiding his mother in her studies but it wasn't long before she noticed that her son had been blessed with magic. Marcus's mother wasn't the only one who noticed that he had magic as her teacher also noticed and offered to train the boy in and make his mother a magister. She agreed almost immediately and Marcus became the magister's student.
It was quickly noticed that Marcus was skilled even by Tevinter mage standards and the boy quickly gained power and learned how their government worked. Marcus was aided by his love of learning and his ability to learn and adapt quickly allowed him to learn and apply what he learned into practial use. As a result Marcus's power increased quickly as well as his fame among the magisters. By the age of 18 Marcus was allowed to become a full member of the magisters council.
Unlike most magisters in the Imperium he didn't believe in the brutal treatment that most of the slaves received and even refused to own slaves. He instead hired servants and was kinder to the slaves even healing or feeding them so they could survive. It was due to these acts of kindness that he was one of the few mages that wouldn't be killed when the slaves revolted and in fact was respected by them.
At the age of 26 Marcus chose to simply leave the Imperium having grown few up with how things were and despite his position as a magister lord. He lacked the will to change things even with the knowledge that he could kill half his follow magisters. Marcus chose to leave and has been since wandering Thedas mostly studying ancient ruins and helping who he can with his magic.
