If the bloody apprentices weren't cowering again Braith would sprout a tail and eat it. Only they were cowering, cringing and whimpering away in their padding with wooden practice swords laying on the ground in front of them. Really, any passerby would think she was beating the poor things. Well... she supposed she was, actually, but it wasn't as though she was hitting them hard.
"Alright you bloody pisspots, you'd best learn to stand up straight and hold your ground. I won't give you more than a few bruises, and our mates with staves are going to be looking to us to hold the front line when the templars charge, you hear me? Now go find some lunch and when you get back quit dropping your bloody sticks!"
If nothing else they listened well when they were dismissed, each and every last one of them fleeing without so much as pausing to remove their padding. Braith shook her head. She wasn't really that scary, was she? Sitting down with a huff, she stretched out her legs and took a long pull of ale from the flask at her hip as she picked at the cold meal she'd been munching on between lessons.
Ah, piss on that. She ate like a horse normally, but training a pack of spineless teens who could barely tell hilt from blade wasn't much of a workout, and Braith wanted some bloody exercise. Transferring her scale armour from armour stand to body was the work of a few short minutes and soon she was hacking away at some practise dummies, spinning and slashing with more speed than would normally be expected of a sword and shield warrior.
She was an elf, after all, and a mage, not some great lumbering Qunari.

Marcus had to admit he was enjoying himself here it had been a while since he had actually spent anytime with his fellow mages. Marcus had so far spent time in the library and a few of the labs were mages were still trying experiments he had even stopped an explosion from happening. It was a good day for the former Tevinter magister and he was looking forward to what else he could get involved in and he thought he had found it. He could hear the sounds coming from the the training area and headed towards it.
Marcus was jut coming down the hall when he pressed his back against the wall as a group of teens went by at a rather fast pace. Marcus watched them almost run down the hallway and it looked like they were running from something in terror and he get curios. Marcus quickened his stride and arrived at the training ground and looked around only spotting a lone female elf.
Marcus almost laughed at the mages running from her she didn't seem that scary he had to admit at a first glance she was rather attractive like all of her race. Marcus moved towards her and chuckled slightly to get her attention as he did before speaking. "With the speed those mages were fleeing I thought it would be something terrifying not a fair elven maiden. I must admit I am pleasantly surprised." Marcus said this with a slight grin as he walked around and took in the room before allowing his gaze to meet hers.

Well, if it wasn't another youngish mage turning the corner to talk to her. And dressed all fancy, too. Braith snorted at his attempt to flirt with her, neatly lopping off the practice dummy's head before turning to face him.
"You might not know this yet, but a mage with sword is something terrifying. And unless you can spontaneously turn into a chesty redhead don't bother flirting with me, you've got the wrong bits."
Sheathing her sword and slinging her shield across her back, she snatched up her plate and sat on a bench against the wall. Cold mutton, limp carrots, and piss warm ale. Joy.
"Braith Morwen. No, I can't get you an audience with Fiona, no, I won't do you any special favours, and no, I'm not in charge of assigning your duties for the day. Still something I can do for you?"
Those were the three things everyone always wanted out of her. Every single day, just because she was the Grand Enchanter's friend. Really, it was ridiculous.

Marcus raised an eyebrow at her response but didn't allow it to shake his resolve much he figured that she just had people bother her a lot about pointless things. He chuckled slightly before he spoke "Sadly becoming a red head is beyond me can never get the hair that right shade tis such a shame" Marcus said this jokingly as he said this and walked away from the wall he was leaning against and walked towards the mage.
Marcus shook his head before speaking to the slightly angered mage it seemed. "No I'm not looking for Fiona though I'm sure if I need to speak with the grand enchanter I can get her attention somehow I'm sure a potion accident will draw her attention" Marcus looked around the training hall and shook his head. "I only came this way because I saw a group of mages fleeing from this room at quit an alarming rate and wanted to see what was up" Marcus shrugged as he finished talking.

The foreigner seemed to have rather missed her point about flirting, and Braith snorted. If the man was slow there was no use going over it again, however, so she moved on to his reason for approaching her. And again, he struck her as being rather more than a bit dim - really, he was going to draw Fiona's attention by blowing things up with a potion? Bloody idiot.
"All that's up is sword practice and if you do any sort of damage around here to get an audience with Fiona we'll feed you to the templars. Now who are you, anyway?"
