Ky was not sure if she had escaped the mercenary yet, but she kept running. She wore no armor, but was bound by leather. Some of it torn away from her body, some of it wet from blood and water. Her body felt like it was about to give out, but she never stopped. Her feet moved at an incredibly fast and her breathing was heavier than usual, but steady. Her body had been in more pain than this. Being trained to protect to protect and serve, her body had went through rigorous training to make her good enough to stand by the Empress Celene, of Orlais. Ky was more than happy to go through anything to say with her beloved and dear friend. This time she was sent on a mission to spy. It all went horribly array, and that is hour she ended up in this situation.
As she ran through the forest she dodged trees and gracefully skipped over debris. Sweat dripped down her face as she kept her face as she kept her eyes open for anything that could be a trap. She was not safe until she could get to Celene and bring her the information. There was no guarantee that the mercenary had not thought out the possibility of a spy and laid out allies further away from him. It was unlikely, but Ky did not want to risk it.
As she ran she saw a figure ahead. She could barely make out what it was, but the outline seemed to be human. Judging by the height, it was possibly elfin. Ky did not keep going in order to find out. Instead she came to a sudden halt. Her speed was so fast at this point. That fact that she was making such a direct stop, caused dirt to surface from below her. She breathed heavily and tried to adjust her eyes. Her bow was immediately in her hands and pointed toward the strange figure. Her hands were less sturdy than usual and began to shake a little. There was no way that if this turned into an altercation, she was going to win. Ky was dehydrated by now and her muscles ached all over her body. Her arms felt like Kelly, but she still struggled her hardest to keep her bow still and aimed.
”You! Come closer and state your business and name! Go slow and don’t try anything or I will shoot!” Her voice was loud, but still had undertones of nervousness and exhaustion. She hoped this stranger just did as she said and she could move on. If they didn’t it would be a disaster for Ky. Her power was waning and her abilities were less than sharp. All she needed to do was get out of this place alive and get Celene that information. She wanted cry. She wanted to lie on the ground and never get up. But those things were against everything she believed in. She lived for Celene and that’s what kept her body upright and her eyes dry. Friend or foe ahead, no matter. She was never going to quit.
