The breeze was cool against her alabaster skin as Empress Celene walked through the courtyard. The sun had already sank below the horizon and the sky was the color of her dress, a deep midnight hue. The stars that dotted the heavens matched the circlet that adorned her dark hair. She may be hiding for now but that didn't mean that she would hide who she truly was.
Things had been simpler once, and the thought caused her to pause in her stroll. Eyes narrowed as she looked about her making sure that none had followed her. Celene had wanted to be alone, and should any ruin that for her she had a dagger up her sleeve that would solve the problem. She had been raised a proper lady but she had trained with some of the best. She was fair with a bow but even better with her dagger.
A sigh escaped her pink lips as she settled herself into a sitting position on a ledge of rock. If she remained still enough the rough terrain wouldn't ruin her silk gown. A laughed bubbled from her softly, as she thought of how funny she must look. A proper lady sitting in her fine gown in a place only a commoner would dare go. Sadly there was nothing she could do about it until she could go home.
