HISTORY
Faedin's mother is an elf from Antiva, who was forced away from her family when they found she was a mage. Ever since she started casting spells and encountering demons, she has been fleeing. All her life she avoided the fact that she was and is a mage. She hated the fact and still does. She taught herself everything she knows about hiding her magics and her identity. She also taught herself to survive in the Telleri Wilds.
Faedin's father was born into a family of templars, templars that dedicated body and soul to the end of the use of magic. He was taught by his parents not to trust mages. To stay ever vigilant and not lose sight of the Maker. His father had undying faith to the Maker. He prayed daily that he would find his true love, and live to see the next day. Faedin's father had slay or captured many mages in Antiva. But his main goal was the Witch of Yavana. If he was able to find and slay the witch he would be a renown templar; possibly be recognized by the White Divine in Orlais.
Faedin's father found his mother's camp in the Telleri Wilds, and thinking it was the Witch's camp, he investigated. When he found a girl inside, crying, he put away his sword. The woman, in his eyes, was far beyond beautiful. His job stood close at hand but he saw this girl and asked her who she was. They talked from some time. When Faedin's father left the camp, he was a changed man. He didn't want to leave the camp. But he knew his duty. He failed to realize that she was in fact a mage. True love had clouded his eyes.
They were betrothed and married by the end of the year. He had taken her under his wing and she helped him hunt mages. She was teaching herself to use a bow and to hunt. She successfully hid her true nature under her false mask. When they spoke of why she was in the Telleri Wilds, alone. Her excuse was she was on a hunting trip. Faedin's father was deeply in love with her and she with him. In the Wilds, on a dark and cold night, two daughters were set their destiny, their lives brought up, their fires lit.
The twins were identical sisters, and when they were born they were loved and cherished. Their father still left often on his duty as a Templar. While the two girls grew up their mother watched over them, bowing to their every need, loving and adoring their creation. When his father came home, they danced and played in the night, looking up at the stars and watching the moon. Their father knew he would have to leave again soon, very soon. He didn't much like the idea of leaving for a long time, so as a parting gift to their mother, another child's fire was lit. The next morning he was gone.
Faedin's mother was left with three children, all of which were mages, but too young to start casting spells. Though when they did, she was terrified. She had no way to stop them, or hide it. She didn't want her husband to come home to spews of magic flying all around the camp. As they all grew up, they started slowing down on the magic usage, and increasing in control. Though it was a very slow process. And then Faedin started casting magic. Faedin's mother drained at that.
Faedin's mother was over worked, now that she was not only taking care of three children, but was also teaching them to control themselves. It's hard enough to be trying to train one mage to hold their magic in, but with three she was never not teaching them. Faedin's mother loved them all dearly, but she was overwhelmed by the three's sudden storms of magic. With the twins, she succeeded easily. They were quickly understanding of the training they were given. On the other hand Faedin, liked his power. It gave him strength. At night, if you stayed up late, you could watch him leave the camp, and he would go out, and cast, and learn to control himself on his own. His mother's guidance helped, but he wanted to learn on his own.
He was turning 9 when he become more open to his mothers training. At that age he was able to understand that the power he wielded was dangerous. That was when the first demon approached Faedin. He went running back to his camp, fleeing the beast. The demon followed. When the demon arrived at the camp, he was met not by one cowardly mage, but a fully grown mage. A mage with power behind her spells. Power and control. The demon was throw back to the fade. From that day forth, their mother realized life was going to be tough with three mage children.
When Faedin turned 10 he was told of his father. Of the merciless slaughtering of mages at his father's hand. He didn't like the idea that his father was a Templar. That night he vowed he would kill his father someday, for what he had done to all the mages he tracked down and killed. Also that night, he went into his mother's hut, and explored. In the dark, and a back corner, he found a small chest under a pile of dusty books. When he took them up he found something important.
A way to track his father. He found a letter, to his mother, saying that he left for Orlais, to join with the White Divine. The note said he wanted to be in her inner circle of templars that worked under the White Divine. And from this note, Faedin gathered his strength to find him. He knew what he had to do, but he had to wait just a little bit longer...
Six more years, Faedin waited, training with his mother, and sisters. His twin sisters had still been having trouble with their magic at the age of 18, but Faedin was almost in full control at 16. When he was halfway to 17 he left a short goodbye note for his mother, took what he needed to survive, and a tiny bit of money, and left. He never had the thought of returning home, he never even looked back.
The first thing he knew he needed to do: Leave Antiva. And do not go back, for a very, long time. made small camps here and there in the Wilds, till he was well on his way out of Antiva. His second goal: Oralis, ValRoyeaux.

Laurel silently sneaks up behind the guard, sharp silver dagger in hand. She wasn't expecting the guard to turn around so fast; when he did he dropped his torch, the crouched figure stood and in a blur of motion, nothing was heard. The guard lay dead in a corner with a deep hole in the back of his neck, the dark cloaked figure of Laurel moving quickly away on the wall, searching for her next victim...
As she approaches the next door, she hears talking. She quickly looks over the wall, finding a small misplaced stone that would allow her to step on it. From there she can look into the window at the unsuspecting victims. As she listens, she learns of what they speak. Her brother. Her goal in this castle. The two men discuss for some time, and then one leaves. Laurel smirks and climbs into the window. The guard moved up the tower to the top level, Laurel quickly follows. As she moves up the stairs she is met by 3 spear heads, she turns to run but is met by a group of 10 guards. She flips her daggers out and slowly puts them on the ground. She was beat.
When she awoke she was hanging by her arms, in the dungeon. Across the way, in a dim light, her brother hangs, strapped up by his ankles and wrists, beaten and bleeding. Laughing comes from the blackness. Laurel looks in its direction and says "What's so funny..?" From the darkness stepped the evil Commander Orin. He is grinning for ear to ear. "Who knew a rat could catch more rats?" He said, overly confident. Laurels reply was swift. "You have not caught me yet." The Commander laughs. "You se-" His sentence was cut short. As the Commander walked toward Laurel, she was slipping out of her bonds. She had freed one hand from her bonds, and quickly lurched forward, snapping his neck using her legs and arm. The body collapses to the ground. "Confidence can be a bad thing."
