It was late at night and deep within Kal-Sharok, within the royal palace laughter and running footsteps could be heard. Lyulf was running after his woman Hildred again, and he was charging to tickle her as he kept a broad smile on his face, excited for what would soon to come. Obviously Lyulf had been drinking and his desire for Hildred had grown over the evening, which now had led him to tease her into some fun. Then just as he reached her he grabbed her roughly with a smile and he kissed her, both stumbling through the door as they desperately made out. Lyulf`s hands went all across Hildred`s body and quickly he was trying to undress her even she wore her armor just as he. It had been a long day and in Kal-Sharok it was common for the dwarves to wear armor as much they could, except when they were asleep.
Just as they reached the bunk of their bed, a horn sounded in the deep three times, roaring through the caverns as it alerted everyone that another attack had begun. Pouring in from the one entrance that was not sealed by a large stone, but a steel door the Darkspawn had breached before, they came into the city again, clashing with the Dwarven warriors who stood in its defense. The Darkspawn who came into the city were mostly all Hurlocks and Genlocks, bearing nasty and brutal weapons, but behind them came even larger beasts, Ogres.
“Ah no, not now, not a moment of peace is there…” Lyulf said whispering as he gave a sigh of frustration as he leaned his forehead against Hildred`s forehead, standing close as he held his arms around her. He had been so close to get her to bed, but now as the horn had sounded he knew it would be time for them to fight again. Then just as he kissed Hildred one more time softly and then stopped to look at her, the chamber door busted upon and in stepped Gron, a dwarven officer who both Lyulf and Hildred trusted. He was clad in armor as well and as he rushed in he held his helmet under the arm, presenting himself for Lyulf and Hildred as he spoke of the sudden news. “High Lord, High Lady, I apologize too interrupt, but you are needed. We are under attack and many Darkspawn has already breached our barracked door, and we have discovered another group of Darkspawn are trying to breach our gates to the west, if it is breached we are all in grave danger. It is a well-coordinated attack.” Gron spoke firm and serious as he lowered his head, trying not to look at the half naked woman Hildred.
Hearing the news Gron came with was shocking, how could the Darkspawn have planned such a coordinated attack when there was no Archdemon. Then for a moment Lyulf grew silent and as he looking upon Hildred and Gron worried, he remembered what he had discovered in the mines some time ago. Could another Archdemon have risen? He thought to himself, though doubted it even he did not rule it out either. What he had discovered in those mines he had told no one, not even his own wife as he did not wish for them to be troubled, but now as he noticed the consciences of not telling he thought he maybe should have. As Lyulf tried to look serious even he was slightly drunk he turned to face Gron and ordered. “It sounds like they are using a diversion, focus our main strength on that gate and drive those other darkspawn out. We`ll be there soon.” He said and Gron bowed and left the room, running quickly through the hall to command what had been ordered. Just as Lyulf and Hildred again was alone, Lyulf turned his gaze back at Hildred and knew they would now need to dress on to fight in another battle.

Only Lyulf could possibly hope to chase Hildred through the palace halls without losing some of his more favoured bits let alone tickle her, but he was her husband and by the Stone she'd be wanting those bits later. Sod later, too - she slowed down just enough that he'd catch her just inside their rooms because she'd have him soon if she had to chop off a paragon's tits to get him. Not that she expected to need to go to such extremes - they were already in their chambers and her armour was already loose. Well, alright, coming off. But she'd had it on all day, getting the blasted stuff off was nice. Until she started feeling naked. But Lyulf would deal with that quickly enough by really making her naked. Oh, her mind was going in circles... Sodding men and their fingers and beards and firm, muscular bodies and hands that knew exactly where to touch her...
But before they actually made it to bed, the war horns blasted and broke them from their brief respite. Hildred groaned and rested her head against Lyulf's, wrapped in the protective circle of his arms. He was right - there would be no peace for them, not today, and Gron's appearance was only the newest proof of an already known fact. No rest today, only war.
She started pulling her armour back on as Gron spoke, forcing herself into all manner of odd contortions and even using her teeth to get all the straps and buckles securely fastened. As she dressed, she listened - the situation was dire, but Lyulf had a good plan. Duster always had a good plan, otherwise the whole lot of them would be spawn chow already.
By the time Gron left Hildred had already gathered up Lyulf's armour, and as he turned to her she started helping him into it. "You take the west gates, I'll take the main. If it turns out it's no diversion, we'll need your axe keeping the bastards back until I can bring you some relief. Now what happened to your sodding pauldrons... There we are!" Cinching the last strap on her her husband's armour, she handed him his sword, shield, and axe before grabbing her own weapons off the floor where she'd dropped them. "Time to go kill things then?" She didn't even wait for an anser, making her way quickly through the palace to the streets of Kal Sharok.

"Ha! A woman after my heart! Going where the enemy may strike hardest, hmm...I like it!" Lyulf spoke out loudly with a broad smile on his face, looking at his beloved woman with a fixed gaze as he held his arms out for Hildred to strap on his armour. Oh how beautiful she were, strong and tough, able to take on all-comers. Lyulf had no fear, his wife could handle leading their strong force against the largest host of Darkspawn, and if she wanted to fight at the western gate that was about to be breached, then he would grant her that wish, as he himself would then go and fight those who already had come inside the city.
Being given the weapons that belonged to him, he fastened his sword the spawn-splitter in his belt, while he took his round shield on the back and grabbed his Battleaxe with both hands, ready to fight another battle. Just as Hildred spoke again, he wanted to reply that he agreed to go and kill, but before he got the chance to speak she went in a hurry toward the door. With a smile on his face he hurried after her, shouting a war cry that he was coming too. On his way out, Lyulf picked up his helmet that lay on the floor and held it under the pit of his arm as he went.
Walking in a fast paste through the tunnels within the palace, the light was dim as the torches on the wall barely gave light and outside one could hear the screams and shouts of an ongoing battle. The palace itself was silent, but when Lyulf and Hildred came closer to the main door that led into the streets, they could see a few frightened dwarves going passed them in a hurry as they were either heading the same way to fight or the other way to hide. The dwarves they spotted were guests of their house, important dwarves who helped them run Kal-Sharok and some were even guards.
While the door opened slowly, Lyulf headed straight out and down the stairs, stopping as he reached the bottom and gazed across the city that now was in full alert. What he could see was surprising, the threat of the Darkspawn was worse than he had imagined. The female dwarves of Kal-Sharok was moving in a group protecting the children across the street as they were heading to a shelter nearby, and not far from where Lyulf stood he could see a squad of dwarven warriors heading toward the west gate. Far in front of him he could see the bridge that stood across the river in Kal-Sharok, the bridge that connected the two parts of the city and in the end of the road he noticed the mighty horde of Darkspawn, who had breached the old gate and who now tried to push themselves behind the shield wall of the dwarves.
Placing the helmet onto his head, Lyulf watched the chaos with a fixed gaze before he turned toward his wife who was close by. “Seems worse than expected, may the paragon`s be with you, my warrior Queen.” He spoke in a deep voice as he reached his hand out to her, holding it tight as he continued speaking. “You`re warriors await, let`s show these Darkspawn!” Lyulf said in excitement as he redrew his hand and tightened both his grips on the Battleaxe, turning to face Gron who stood by with another troop. “Gron, go with Hildred, she`ll take the west gate.” He ordered, but did not demand Gron to watch over Hildred. Suddenly he took a leap and started to run toward the dwarves across the bridge, with his battleaxe raised high as he charged crying out to the other nearby warriors; “Warriors, with me!”
