"You might win the battle, and you might even win the land. But you cannot and will not win the hearts and souls of the people by force and show of arms." -- Magister Deraine
Wolfezth Severus Deraine
A powerful battlemage, honed commander, and peerless swordsman, Magister Wolfezth is unique in a seeming lack of ambition and taste for politics. However, as Dux of two score legions, his influence can not be underestimated. Viewed by many as the face of the Legions of the Imperium, Deraine would no doubt prefer to be on the beaches of Seheron, shedding Qunari blood and earning glory for himself and his men. However, his presence in the capitol is a near constant, a necessary evil if he is to keep the machinations of his fellow Magisters from utterly crippling their collective fielded armies. While he may only personally lead the forty legions under his command, many of the Senators with smaller commands defer to his judgement..
Wants/Needs: None at the moment.
Friends: Warriors. Honorable or at least trustworthy men and women. Legionnaires. He doesn't much care what social class you come from, nor what country you're from. If you're loyal to him, he'll return in kind. Allies are hard enough to come by in Tevinter without backstabbing your own.
Enemies: Career politicians. Those who put their own wealth and profit over the needs of the State and the needs of the Legion. Qunari. Any and all. You are all damned monsters.
Love interest: Already married, loyal.

Name: Lord Lambert Seeker
Relationship: Mutual respect, but not real friendship. If we'd take an extreme situation, where Lambert would have to save Wolfy or win the battle for example, he will win the battle instead. But on lesser situations he would probably try to save you
Specify what character of mine this is for: Lambert!
What Wolfy thinks of Lambert: A man in a position none would ever wish upon even their greatest foe - being forced to commit genocide in the name of not only their country - their duty - but also for their religion. He's in a unique position of damned if you do and damned if you don't. He's either forced to commit said genocide, or go against every fibre of his being - his leaders - his religion - his oath of service - his friends - everything. He represents everything a good Tevinter knows and loves, duty, honor, loyalty, and a grip that will not hesitate to squeeze when it has you by the throat -- fighting against everything a good Tevinter despises - disloyalty, corruption (no irony intended), undisciplined rabble, selfish, cowardlike excuses for mages. It's a damn shame such a respectable man has to be an enemy.
What Lambert thinks of Wolfy: Wolfy is a good warrior, calm and collected on the battlefield. I hold this value a standard for each and every legionary, but I see that Wolfy has potential. He is charismatic, for he sides with the weak and shows kindness to those in need. It has its good sides, I admit, and sometimes it may be the best choice. But he has to learn the brutal efficiency of war in the fullness of it. Nevertheless, I respect him and consider him as one of my protectorates although he probably doesn't want it. Even better - now I can help him undercover.
