When writing your character`s application, you will need to give attribution points to make your character special. You begin with six points, which you can divide as you want. For each level you receive, you gain two points. The stronger you get the easier will it be for you to succeed. The stats works like this:
Gared
Strength: 2
Dexterity: 1
Willpower: 1
Magic: 1
Cunning: 1
Raya
Strength: 0
Dexterity: 1
Willpower: 1
Magic: 3
Cunning: 1
Gared
As Gared had entered the circle tower, he now found himself in front of a female mage. He did not know her name, or what she did in the abandoned tower, but he was certain to bring her down no matter the cost, as commanded by the Chantry. With the sword and the shield in hand, he ran against her, screaming: “Die Mage!!!”
Raya
The Templar had discovered Raya within the tower and she feared the worst, would he try to kill her, or would he allow her to leave. When he screamed against her, she knew she had to act quickly and thus she quickly shot a lightning bolt toward the Templar.
Gared
Seeing the lightning bolt coming against him, Gared lifted his Templar shield to avoid it, but it was too powerful and it knocked him back, causing him to fall on the floor.
Raya
A smirk appeared on Raya`s face as the Templar fell and she thought him to be an easy match, with him now on the ground she elegantly moved over to him, preparing to finish what he started with a last spell.
As you see above, the Templar Gared could not stand against Raya`s magic, because Gared`s Dexterity stat was not near her Magic stats. If Gared have had more Dexterity, the possibilty to avoid the lightning bolt would be greater. However had it been a hand to hand fight, Gared would most certainly win, as Gared`s strength is superior to Raya`s strength. (Being in a hand to hand combat, does not allow the use of Dexterity, due to god-moding) Although a killing blow cannot happen, unless the other person agrees to it.
How the Stats are measured:
Below you`ll find a list of how the stats are measured up against each other...
Strength vs Strength (Hand to hand combat)
Dexterity vs Dexterity (Archery/Agilty and Speed)
Willpower vs Willpower (Resistant to temptation/torture)
Magic vs Dexterity (Spell vs Reaction/Agilty)
Magic vs Magic (Spell vs Spell)
Cunning vs Cunning (Mind vs Mind)
Strength
Strength measures a character's physical prowess, and directly affects the damage a character deals in physical combat. It also contributes to the accuracy of melee attacks.
Dexterity
Dexterity is the measure of agility, reflexes, and balance. Higher dexterity improves a character's chances to hit, makes the character more likely to dodge incoming blows, and contributes to the damage dealt by piercing weapons like daggers and arrows.
Willpower
Willpower represents a character's determination and mental fortitude. With high willpower, one can resist temptation or torture better.
Magic
Magic is the measure of a character's natural affinity for the arcane. This attribute is crucial for mages and those addicted to lyrium. Unsurprisingly, mages gain the most benefit from a high magic attribute; the magic attribute’s determines the mage's spell power, which in turn governs the magnitude of a spell’s effect, including damage.
Cunning
Cunning determines how well a character learns and reasons. Most skills, such as Herbalism or Combat Tactics, require a quick mind to master--and an observant eye can more easily find weaknesses in enemy armor.
