APPLICATION

Dear Diary,

I have decided to keep a written record of my activities while I am pregnant and raising the child in order to maintain a point of reference to which I may fall back on should I ever need it. Not a month ago I convinced Aedan to perform the ritual which would save not only his life but the untainted soul of a god. I have since left him with a warning not to follow, but he is not a rational man and I suspect that he will make the attempt regardless.

I have also discovered that even the extreme early stages of pregnancy can be somewhat... unpleasant. Each morning I awake I am wracked but near crippling nausea, and it follows me throughout the day. I had been under the impression that such symptoms do not show themselves until much later, however it may be that the stronger presence of the child may be exacerbating my current circumstances.

I have also discovered a sudden and rather startling fondness for pickled eggs, of all things. However wise and clever I may believe myself to be, it seems that there are certain aspects of life that yet remain a mystery to me. It is rather unfortunate that there are so few resources which I may call upon when yet another symptom of my pregnancy shows itself.

However, such whining accomplishes nothing more than to waste time and there are things to be done. I will update this record tomorrow.
