The Empire is a shadow of its former glory, and its hold on its northern province of Skyrim is threatened by civil war. Unhappy with the ban on Talos worship imposed upon the Empire by the Thalmor, Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak slayed the High King and fled. He was captured by the Empire and wheeled towards his execution, but after a dragon -- thought mere legend by the Nords, the people of Skyrim -- leveled the town, he escaped. Dragons are rising from their graves, and have been spotted all over Skyrim, as civil war ravages the land.
Note: This roleplay is based off of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and is set primarily in Skyrim on the continent of Tamriel.
We follow the plot of the game loosely, and stick mostly to canon for facts. It is, for the most part, the addition of new characters, and the decisions of the canons, that will alter the course of events.
Knowledge of Elder Scrolls and/or experience playing Skyrim is a plus and adds to the roleplay experience, but is not required unless you intend to play a canon.
