Strength: 0
Dexterity: 1
Willpower: 2

Spells:
Kirby knows the following spells.
- Spirit Bolt: The first spell which Kirby learned.
- Blood Magic: For as long as this mode is active, Kirby sacrifices health to power spells instead of expending mana, but effects that heal him are much less effective than normal.
- Blood Sacrifice: The blood mage sucks the life-force from an ally or foe, healing him. This healing is not affected by the healing penalty of Blood Magic.
- Blood Wound: The blood of all hostile targets in the area boils within their veins, inflicting severe damage. Targets stand twitching, unable to move unless they pass a physical resistance check (Probably Dexterity.) Creatures without blood are immune.
Gear: Clothing wise, he has never really been a fan of robes, he always thought they'd make him look like a girl. He usually wears black, denim like trousers which are tucked into knee high brown laced leather boots. He wears a white vest like top made of cotton and a long sleeved red jacket, which reaches his ribs, similar to Ander's jacket (Dragon age: ll). He may occasionally wear a red neckerchief but this just depends on whether or not he feels like it. His belt is simple, brown with a silver buckle.
Kirby has an earring which is his most treasured possession. It is a small silver stud, with a red feather attached to it through a black string. He calls the earring 'Tear' (as in water from your eye, not a hole in some fabric) it was his last gift from his mother, and just by wearing it are his magical powers enhanced just a little. His mother had it enchanted, just for him.
Kirby has a knife, which he uses to self harm to tap into his Blood Magic. It has no real other use, but it can be used in defense if Kirby needs to. It is silver with some black fabric wrapped around the handle. It has 'Regret' inscribed along the side, in the language of the Dalish.
CHARACTERISTICS
Appearance: Kirby has got palish skin, common for an elf. His complexion is smooth however he is beginning to get some pimples in places due to his rather puberty filled age. His eyes are a pale blue, but are clearly not gray. His ears are small for an elf, but still remain sharp at the end. His hair is blond and is styled flat, with the fringe grown upwards in the same fashion as Alistair (first example I thought of).
Personality: Kirby has always tried to be sweet whenever he can. In fact, he is usually always kind and empathic except when it comes to the case of the mages plight. He hates the idea of killing innocent people, but he has had to kill bandits and a Templar once before, and while that did have it's own effect, he was never really too guilty about it.
Kirby's favorite thing to do, aside from sleeping, which he no longer finds risky as he has already entered a deal with a demon, is to shop. He loves the market and all it's hustle and bustle, he finds it easy to blend in there while still finding the time to buy fancy things with the money he earned from doing jobs for the odd fish-wife, or stealing when people weren't paying to close attention.
Kirby hates the idea of being locked away, merely because he was born with magic. He's been hounded by the templars ever since he was 9 and has only ever looked at them in a bad light, so doesn't even consider they might be trying to do things for a greater good. He also knows that if they catch him, they'd kill him on the spot for being a malificarum so he doesn't dare give one a chance to get too close. He also hates mages who submit to the circles ways, and just keep their heads down. They need to force the change, or it will never come, but he is quite hypocritical in this area, as he tends to be quite the coward when it comes to making gigantic statements against the templars in case one just kills him.
Kirby does everything he does for two main reasons. A dream that one day he will be accepted as a normal person, despite his magic, and the sheer want to not die, because he knows that when he dies, the demon 'Succor' (His patron demon if you will.) will then be allowed to possess his corpse and become an arcane horror.
One of Kirby's main flaws is that he's yellow bellied. Which is to be expected of one who has been running away from something most of his life. While not afraid to fight some threats, he will try to flee from most, or at least hide to avoid confrontation all together. Another one of his flaws is that he has a rather silly fear of the dark. This was spawned from when the templars first came for him all he can really remember is sitting under the sheets in the dark, trying to sniffle as if he did he may alert them and kill him. Every time he is exposed to the dark that is what comes into his head, that one moment of sheer terror. He also has the flaw of being naive, and rather foolish around demons. He barely hesitated before he accepted his first deal with one and has been foolishly trusting of them, despite their deceptive nature. It's only a matter of time before one of his deals comes back to haunt him in the most horrible manner.
Kirby knows that he screwed up. He knows he doesn't really deserve to be a free mage because he turned to blood magic, and he knows if he does become an icon of the mages it will seem as though he is advertising blood magic as being ok. He does not think it is ok, but he also doesn't see the point in limiting his own usage of it. 'o as I say, not as I do' is a phrase that might come to mind when thinking of Kirby.
In terms of relationships, Kirby is rather confused about what he is looking for. He would rather fall in love with a person, but he cannot help his own physical urges towards those of the male variety. In short, he wishes he could be attracted to everyone as several people he's met are lovely, but he can only be aroused by men.
HISTORY
One sunny day, 9:34, A ginger elven woman suddenly got a shock in her belly. Water ran down her leg, before she suddenly realized it was time for her baby to come. She called for the father, and in came the blond haired elf and ran to his beloved, ushering her to sit down. The birth was a relatively quick one, lasting only 12 hours before at 7 in the evening, a small little elven baby graced the Alexo hovel in the alienage. While the father washed him off, after cutting the umbilical cord, he laughed, spotting his new tiny baby had his mother's little eyes.
From the ages of 1 to 5 Kirby was raised as any other elven child would be. He was spanked when he was naughty and hugged when he was good, and he liked being hugged, so naturally, he was rather good. However, his by the books routine changed drastically whenever one day, while they where out on a walk through Kirkwall, lowtown of course, they don't want anyone thinking some elves have forgotten their place, and where in need of reminding. A savage marbari charged around the corner, and instinctively the ginger haired elven woman turned to run, nearly forgetting to bring her child with her. She stopped almost immediately and turned around to see her son stood over the dog, his hand glowing blue and the dog's face near exploded. Kirby screamed and ran back to his mother, who pushed her own fear of her child's future aside in order to calm her child down. What was she to do? She couldn't turn her child to the gallows, not after all of those stories she's been hearing....
And never mind what she's going to do, what is the boy's father going to do? She stroked her son's blond hair, and calmly nuzzled her nose into his hair.
Later that night, whenever Kirby was fast asleep, his mother and father discussed his future. The father, decided that he didn't want the circle to touch his child, which made the mother's choice easier. They both agreed to commit their lives to trying to divert the Templar's gaze.
After two more years, when he was 7, his mother took a risk. She went to the gallows, and stole a grimoire from an apprentice while he wasn't looking. She was in and out in under 40 seconds and no-one noticed another elf walking around. She got home as fast as elvenly possible to give her son the gift. By this point, Kirby was fully aware, nervously even, that he had magic, but was still eager to... play with it. His mother spent many a night after that, helping her son study the words in the book. It was all very foreign to her but she was a smart woman, she could work it out. How hard could it be? It turned out she was quite a good teacher at magic. The book having footnotes and tips helped as well. She mentored her son for the next year and a half.
On his ninth birthday, his mother made another risky trip to the gallows. She had pieced together a little trinket for her son's birthday so she could give him a gift. She had the earring enchanted by a tranquil at the circle, before leaving. Little did she know that by trying to give her child a special gift, she was about to change his life forever. When they were having their birthday celebration, templars burst into the alienage and began to search the homes. Kirby's mother told him to hide under some sheets and he obediently did so. The templars found his mother and dragged her out of her home, and forced her to kneel outside. They began to accuse her of being an apostate, and their reasons for doing so were simple. She was seen carrying a mages grimoire, and has now been seen procuring magical artifacts. However, when a mage of the circle said that she did not have the power in her, they next accused her of harboring an apostate and that the crime was punishable by death. They ordered her to go and fetch the apostate immediately. She stood up quietly and turned, entering her house. She gave her son the book, the earring and kissed him on the forehead. She pushed her tears away for fear that she would scare her son. She stood him that he had to get away, and leave Kirkwall. That the bad men with the swords on their chests were coming to lock him up and that he needed to get out've Kirkwall. He nodded silently, before his mother and father helped him climb through their windows and on to the roof of a neighboring house, behind their own. He climbed the roofs to escape the alienage, without being aware of what his parent's fates were.
Ever since that day, Kirby has been running. Going from place to place, city to city, trying to avoid the public eye. If he wasn't getting hunted for being a mage he was getting hunted for being foreign, or an elf. It seemed as though he could never win.
When he was 14, he had made a traveling acquaintance, a human girl, called Pika. He and her had become friends, bound by one thing. Sympathy for mages. While she was not a mage herself she had seen 3 of her 5 siblings pulled away from her family by the templars, and she did not wish that fate on anyone else. She was surprisingly mature for her age. However, whenever Kirby and her were walking through the back allies of Denerim, a group of people wearing leather, muggers presumably, jumped the pair. Pika, was not fit for combat, and was easily murdered right in front of Kirby. Screaming, Kirby's hands flared with bright blue lightning and he blasted each of the bandits to the floor, what little remained alive, ran away from him. He feel to his knees, and looked at his best friend, lying dead on the floor. Holding her close to his chest, he quietly passed out from the shock.
While in the twisted world of the fade, his desire for his friend back, for a second chance drew the attention of a rather potent Desire Demon. She strode into his line of sight and he backed of rather defensively, he knew what she was, even though he'd never met a demon before. "What do you want?" he asked, cautiously...
She smiled, the pink flames that composed her hair glew vividly with every word her multi-toned voice slithered out. "I am Succor, and I am much more interested in what you want..." her lips smiled, and Kirby felt himself relaxing, being drawn in by the beasts beautiful composure. He stood from the floor and began to let his guard down, continuing to listen. "I offer you a proposal, Mortal... If you're, willing to listen..."
Kirby paused for a brief second, narrowing his eyes.
"I am."
His hands turned from fists to open palmed, and the demon smiled, grateful he had accepted so easily.
"I can grant you the power to bring back your... friend. All you have to do in return is promise me one thing. You have a nice body. When you die, I am allowed to enter it, keep it as my own, and use your power to do whatever it is I desire...
Do we, have a deal, love?"
Her words were enthralling. Kirby, even if he were to disagree, would have found it the most difficult thing to ever say in the world. He nodded his head vigorously, wiping the tears from his face with his red sleeve. She smiled, and wafted her hand. Kirby shot awake, finding himself still holding Pika's body in a the ally way, the only difference now was, it was dark. How long had he been unconscious? More than that, he had... knowledge in his head. Things that weren't there before. He knew... he didn't know how he did but he knew how to bring her back. He stood, and walked over to the corpse of one of the bandits, taking their axe in hand, he walked back to her body, before he went into the closest place out've sight. He lay her down, and closed his eyes, putting the axe on the floor, blade upwards. He raised his hand before hitting it onto the blade, slashing his palm. The blood flowed through the air, and he near screamed from the pain of slashing his own flesh, and he couldn't open his eyes. The blood from his hand was entering the body of Pika, her eyes shot open and she found her wounds healed.
However, when she saw that Kirby had turned to the forbidden to do what he needed, she was disgusted at him. Infact, she was scared, without words, She stood up, gasping, and ran to the door to get away from the monster. Kirby didn't stop her. He couldn't, he was exhausted. He just fell onto his side, and cried himself to sleep.
He woke up early that morning, as if his bran was doing it to protect him, as he needed to get out of her before templars caught wind of what happened. He fled from Denerim that day with his hand wrapped in a rag. Blood magic had taken his only friend from him... But he stopped. There was another way to look at it... Blood magic had brought her back from the dead. Because of his magic, Pika would live on to help other mages. And also, less importantly, whatever the demon had done had left him feeling stronger. He knew more than he had actually learnt. It was awesome. But he knew the consequences. He would not wish them on anyone. He loved Pika, the poor girl... Shame that his body didn't.
Kirby spent the next 3 years traveling, and running from Templars at nearly every turn.
