CHARACTERISTICS
Appearance: Despite her soft blue eyes and blondish white hair which depicts her as someone sweet and innocent, along with being quite young for a Keeper, Vyraestasia holds herself tall and proud as any Dalish would and is capable of many things.
Svelte and lithe but with a hidden sense of strength in her musculature, Vyraestasia is quite endowed physically though it is not the most striking of her features.
With her hair tied back in two low ponytails close together, her ears are among her most prominent feature, being quite sharpened and keen as they jut out a little from her aristocratic and noble face. She is quite pale due to her time studying the Ancient lore instead of out hunting but it makes her blue inquisitive and slightly piercing eyes stand out from beneath her slight fringe.
Personality: Pride is one of the first things that crops into anyone's head when they meet Vyraestasia (at least those who are not of the People) as she is clearly proud of her Dalish lineage from her dress-code and mannerisms to Shemlen. She doesn't particularly trust them, but is most curious about the Flat-ears.
However to her Clan, she is extremely protective and caring to all as she watches over them and tries her best to guide them as their Keeper had done before her when she was the First. She is also very caring towards the children so can sometimes be found with them, either teaching, telling stories or simply playing. Quick to temper due to her youth, Vyraes is quick of wit and tongue and is not afraid of using either.
However she often feels pressured into being this particular way due to her lineage and people's expectations of her. She is the most respectful to the Elders and fellow Keepers and their Firsts, but it's also the only time where she can show her softest and sweetest self which is one of her main cores, along with her intelligence.
HISTORY
Born in a long line of Dalish Keepers and Firsts, mixed with a couple of generations of Hunters makes Vyraestasia about as Dalish as physically possible, it is something that she is constantly reminded of and is expected to rise to the challenges of the nomadic life of the Dalish.
She was born in the Sabrae clan which was led by Keeper Marethari, her Mother died in childbirth and her Father was killed by Shemlen not long before so she was raised by all of her Clan. By the age of 5, Vyraestasia started to show that she possessed the Gift so Marethari started to teach her on how she should use her Gift and some control along with beginning to teach Vyraes the Ancient Lore.
However, Marethari had already chosen a First, Merrill from the Therion Clan, so couldn't take on Vyraes as well and so she was given to a new Clan at the age of 12 to be raised as another Keeper's First but not before Marethari gave her the Keeper's Charm ring, "Wear this ring da'len, and know that wherever you go; we, your birth Clan, will always be thinking of you." Were her gentle words as she hugged the slightly tearful girl before Vyraes said goodbye to her Clan.
In the years that followed, Vyraestasia grew into a strong and wise young woman under the guiding eyes of her Keeper and her new Clan. It took her some time to adjust to the new Clan but now they are her family and she is willing to do anything she can to defend them.
Not very trusting of Humans so she was surprised to hear of one Clan helping out the Shemlen with the Darkspawn when the Clans met up but she holds no allegiance to any outside of their own, despite her Keeper warning her to not be so closed-minded about other races due to the tensions that were rising. So far, she hasn't listened.
Forever moving the Clans, Vyraes learned how to help her other Clan members on how to set up the aravels and to set up the Camp without resorting to her Magic, which she knows not to use too often and not in public. However recent events with the Shemlen and Flat-Ear Mages have caused her to be even more reclusive about her magic, tensions are high amongst the Dalish.
