She owns a two-handed battle axe, which is almost bigger than she is. It is made of a lighter metal and Edeli keeps it clean and polished. She wears a chain around her neck that holds a small pendant; engraved upon it is her houses crest.
CHARACTERISTICS
Appearance: Edeli is a young woman in her prime. Her thick, golden hair has natural waves that fall around her face. All of her features are soft, with the exception of her intense eyes. Her dwarven traits, such as her thick jaw and curvy figure add to her beauty.
Her small frame and large eyes give her a deceivingly innocent look. She is surprisingly tall for a dwarf, which takes away from her beauty in the eyes of many dwarven males, but she is still very small. Her eyes are a light brown and her skin is pale. Her only inconsistancies are the large scars she has h=on her back from a terrible encounter with a thug in Dust Town.
Personality: Edeli is a seasoned fighter, and is constantly surrounded by conflict, but this has not made her bitter. She is a light-hearted woman who never truly holds a grudge. But even though she is sweet, she enjoys fighting the good fight. She is a fierce warrior and does secretly enjoy the violence.
Even so, she will never kill any who she believes to be innocent or unable to fend for themselves. Many of her fellow guards would gladly kill a threat, but if she can avoid murder of a fellow being she will. Her strength comes through, not only physically, but when she speaks to those she protects.
HISTORY
Edeli was born into the House of Gavorn, a royal family in Orzammar. Although her lineage is considered a minor royal family, she was still raised in the diamond quarter along with the other houses. She was pampered by her father, given many dresses and furs, and was treated as any other royal female. She quickly diverged from the path of dresses and bows at a young age, with a clear passion for weapons. She was gifted her beloved battle axe when she turned 15, and when her father passed away she received his armor. She had the families blacksmith fit the armor to her, and she has yet to buy a different set since.
Her mother died shortly after her 4th birthday, and that left the Gavorn house with only 3 members. Her father was a caring man and devoted his life to the House of Aeducan until his untimely death at the hands of a few bandits in the Deep Roads. Her older brother, the lieutenant Vartag Gavorn, also supports the Aeducan family and share many traits with his sister. They were both raised with the hope to support and protect those who were loyal. Although the common and casteless dwarves are not considered valuable by many of the dwarven royalty, Edeli still makes it a point to guard them as well, even making trips to Dust Town to help the impoverished.
Although it made her seem like a saint, she did most of these things for selfish reasons. Her father had strong morals, and spent much of his time with the underprivileged. Because of this she always tried to do the same, almost as if she felt she needed to prove something. She enjoyed the praise she received from her father. When he died she stopped being as virtuous, as she now longer received the praise, but was instead ridiculed. Although her and Vertag were raised with a few differing ideas, they were always close. He would do things that she believed unjust for political reasons and she would do things he thought were frivolous and useless, but that never drove a wedge between the two. They appreciated what each would try to do.
When she was 21 she became the head guard for the Deep Roads, as well as the Provings. It wasn't long afterwords that she was told of trouble withing the Roads. She went in with a crew and spent an entire day clearing out passages. One of the tunnels collapsed and they were swarmed by darkspawn. Only her and a few others survived, but they scattered. After a few days she surfaced near Denerim.
She spent most of her life under the belief that the surface was a terrible place, and although the world was seeing new threats, she was shown surprising kindness and a sky never before seen. She learned about the newest troubles in Thedas, and realized that the surface needed help. Since then she has stayed in Ferelden and has yet to return, for fear of rejection or captivity. The only person she truly had was her brother, but she knows he will be okay without her. She now takes small guard jobs for businesses and houses while traveling. Maybe one day she will return, but until then, she is all but a memory in Orzammar.

Edeli still couldn't get used to it. The big beautiful night sky. Stars twinkling, A breeze that smelled of the ozone left after rain, not the musty smell of moisture on stone. The small, dark clouds passed slowly as she stared. It had been a few months since she submerged from the Deep Roads and found a life in Ferelden, But she still couldn't fully comprehend the vastness above her. But even with its mystery and endlessness, she loved it. It was beautiful. She had spent hours, as she did most nights, laying in the grass.
She was on another trip, with her small tent and a simple pack. She loved to enjoy this new world, even more than her large room and servants in The Diamond Quarter. She did miss her bed a bit, but she had one that was just as good in her quaint house in Denerim. She would be back soon, as she always returned. But for now she was to travel, experience a life where nobody knew her name. She began to drift off, her eyelids heavy from the days events. I warm feeling filled her body as she slipped off into a dreamless sleep.
A small rustle jolted her awake. Her body shot up and she quickley looked around. After a long while she smiled at herself, taking a deep breath. Heh. It was probably a bunny. She began to sit back down when she heard another rustle. She picked up the battle axe beside her and held it, ready to strike. "Alright, I hear you! You might as well show yourself now! I will find you either way."
