CHARACTERISTICS
Appearance:
Being years from reaching full adulthood, Alice isen´t as tall as your average Kossith, standing at barely 5`9. Having spend the last four years in a relatively peaceful life, Alice´s body has grown to become more slender than muscular, through being a fog warrior, she does retain some muscle. With long strong legs and a straight-held back, Alice`s walking is more elegant than it is clunky.
Her skin is a light shade of gray, and while it bears the scars of a silent life in a collar, it has managed to remain smooth, even soft in selected spots. Her hair is white like most Kossith`s, and reaches her waist. Its usually tied into two loose braids, through she does let it out at times. Her eyes are golden, and the riled horns a few shades darker than the skin.
The most noticeable feature of this young kossith however, isen`t her lack of muscles or the piercing eyes of molten gold; No, its the fine rows of lines, which runs across her lips. These lines are slightly darker than the rest of her pale lips, the pattern showing where the stitches she bore for 12 years once could be found.
Alice can almost always be found wearing some sort of colorful decoration; A bracelet of wild flowers, or a string of beads on her horn. These are gifted to her by the children of the fog warriors, especially by the younger mages.
Personality:
After four years with the fog warriors, Alice has become a young and very gentle woman; With a voice soft enough to make silk feel rough, she speaks from the heart, her opinions and words getting displayed with a positive attitude. And behind every word, you feel a sense of wisdom, as if every word has been thought of in advance, before it is spoken.
With a nature like that, Alice has become a person many venture to, if they have problems. And luckily for them, the young Kossith gladly assists with any problems that comes in the way. This helpfulness has made her especially popular among the children in the fog warriors, leading Alice to take on a role as a mother or sister for many of them.
And while the love and attention of her family always is welcomed, Alice loves to explore, often venturing outside the camp in search of new areas or secrets. She is sometimes accompanied by others, but often the young kossith wanders alone, setting out at the brink of dawn, to return in the darkness of the night.
But underneath this curios, gentle and helpful soul, a bloodthirsty beast rests...
Behind the calm nature and elegant pace, Alice by far not a harmless grey "giant". With over half of her life spend collared and silent, she won`t hesitate to murder anyone who tries to imprison or capture her. This also includes anyone who even threatens the fog warriors. This almost paranoid fear and overprotective nature for her "family", has led to the horrific deaths of several qunari, slave traders and the occasional pirate.
Alice holds no hatred towards anyone in particular, and has become very accepting of any species. Of course she thinks aspects of some believes are wrong, but that she keeps to herself. And, despite the Qunari hunting her, she takes pity on them, seeing them as trapped creatures.
HISTORY
Alice was born on Par Vollen, and never had parents since she was a "child of the qun". She spend her first four years like any Qunari would, getting taught the Qun and living among them in a big society. This didn`t last for long through, as Alice`s magic was discovered at the mere age of seven.
And from there on, the rest of her life as a Qunari went silent and blank; She was collared, and her mouth was stitched tightly together. She was robbed of any free will, and soon her world only consisted of following orders, with no will to answer back or resist. But despite this silent life, Alice`s hatred boiled underneath..
She was taught basic spells and on how to control her magic, and it was during these lessons that Alice first started to use blood magic. With all the cuts and bruises, it didn`t take the young kossith long, to merge it with her spells to make them more powerful. As she was still collared, the Qunari took no action towards this; after all, it only made her a more useful tool. At the age of 12, Alice was taken off Par Vollen for the first time. Her and her Avvarad were to act as protection for a smaller group of Qunari, who would spread the word of the qun to the people of Rivani...but they never got that far.
While traveling through the Forests of Rivani, their group was attacked by Tevinter Slavers. They managed to hold out for awhile, but they were soon overwhelmed by the tevinters, and eventually Alice was the only one left alive. The rod for her collar was destroyed in the battle, but Alice had become severely wounded during the battle, making it easy for the tevinters to chain her up and take her with them.
Before the slavers ventured back to Tevinter though, they stopped at Seheron to pick up a shipment of slaves caught on the Island. Alice was packed in among the other slaves, which caused her visor to fall off. She had been able to see through the visor, but this was the first time it had been taken off for years. Upon seeing the iron bars, the tevinters walking around her hands bound.
The silenced beast finally awoke...
It started out small, with her thrusting her claws into the neck of a nearby elf, the blood gushing out on her hands. And after that, it went quickly...The other slaves in the cage fell one and one, either by her fire or claws. Making quick work of the iron bars, Alice proceeded to take out the slavers, her ivory hair turning crimson under all the blood. As the butchering went on, tevinters and slaves tried to escape, but to no use; Alice would easily catch up on them on her strong legs, or cast spells to strike them down from afar.
By the time the sun set, there was nothing left for her to take her anger out on, so she fled into the forest. There she spend the next couple of days wandering, her confused mind trying to grasp at the situation. Eventually a lack of food and water caused her young body to collasp, but before death could claim her, she was found by an odd group. Exhausted due to starvation, she kept silent as the group brought her to their camp. She saw elves, humans, kossiths and even a dwarf, but didn`t think as she was presented a plate of food.
And so Alice`s life began; The stitches on her mouth was removed, and she was named after a famous mage that once lived in the tribe. It took awhile, but she slowly began to adapt; playing with the other children, getting taught magic by other mages of the tribe, and just having freedom in general...
Today, four years later, Alice is a strong-willed young adult. She spends her days on teaching the younger mages of the tribe, and is well-respected among the other fog warriors, and viewed more as an adult rather than a child. She has put the bloody incident with the slavers behind her, but history tends to repeat itself..eventually
