A future for Thedas was starting to look bleak. The champion's companions were stubborn yet none of them knew where Marian Hawke was, and just like the Hero of Ferelden she disappeared without a single trace. Although despair and death was beginning to grip the world in its cruel embrace hope still remained in the heart of Cassandra as she was determined to not disappoint her grace the White Divine Justinia the 5th, her companion and respected friend Leliana felt the same way as there had to be a way to end the Mage-Templar war peacefully before it was too late...or was it? The young Seeker refused to given and decided she and her friend would discuss their findings in Kirkwall before moving on. Yet the actual weather was against her as it pelted down with rain that blasted down on the city of chains. The sky was a black as the hearts of all Darkspawn if they had any hearts, if not then it would just be as black as coal.
Despite the weather it didn’t stop the citizens of Kirkwall to sell their goods or live their lives. Lowtown was littered with people coming and leaving from the port area of the city, poor and the rich marched through the streets in their dozens, the long haired Cassandra walked quietly amongst a crowd of people as she braved the elements and headed to the designation location which was of course the Hanged Man a tavern and inn in Lowtown. Luckily a heavy black cloak shielded her body from the wet weather as its hood covered her face, with it fully closed she entered the tavern and slowly opened her cloak and pulled back the hood to let it rest on her back. The tavern was pretty quiet and it appeared she was not late which was a good thing, slowly she untied her cloak and gently walked over to the inn keeper who was more then happy to take it and let it dry out near the fireplace.
With a sigh of relief she examined the home base of Varric Tethras as she held a unique book in her hands. Gently she walked over to the bar area of the tavern and spoke to the inn keeper who greeted her, there she ordered a few drinks and headed to a table which sat just near the eastern wall, she placed the thick book onto the table and looked at it as she stared hard at its design and gently rubbed her fingers over the centre. This very book was the only clue to the whereabouts of Marian Hawke, and if she could not be found and if Ferelden's champion was not meant to be found then all was lost for Thedas.
But not in Cassandra's books, she refused to let her world be destroyed by life itself. There had to be away to end the greatest threat to Thedas since the Darkspawn and the Archdemon, with a quiet sigh she leaned back on her seat to patiently wait for the arrival of her friend Leliana. Hopefully the red head had better news then Cassandra had, still all that matters was that the two would work together because at this moment in time the future of Thedas lied in each others hands.
