There is an old saying which says that home is where the heart is. And to Elissa, the great city of Amaranthine was her beloved city where she was born and was the starting point for the quest to learn about life itself. Now once again she found herself standing before the very city gates of Amarathine, her close friend Amity snorted happily as he around familiar surroundings. Gently she dismounted her friend and took him by the reigns as she slowly marched forwards as she passed several bystanders and people as they walked past her, finally she arrived just underneath the city gate until a guard stopped her.
But it was not long before a smile crept up on his face as the mid thirties guard offered his sincere greetings to Elissa, but he was no longer alone. Other guards began to appear and soon the teen from Amaranthine was swarmed by welcomes and friendly greetings, not to mention hugs and ruffling of her hair, ever since her brother became captain of the guards they became like family to Elissa and she always treated them as siblings. Quickly they allowed her some breathing and soon said there goodbyes as each and everyone of them went back to guard duty.
With a happy sigh of relief she brushed her hair back to normal and smiled as the guards walked away, as she nodded to Amity she once again guided him by taking his reigns and marched northwards deeper into the city. Soon she stood in the city centre of her home, there she breathed in and breathed out in total relaxation as she was now back after many months of being away. Today she didn’t need her long cloak as the sun beamed down over the city of Amaranthine, it was as if the Maker was smiling. Wearing just her silver tunic, soft boots and trousers she guided Amity and headed towards the stables to make sure he had plenty of food and water before she headed out and gather supplies.
