CHARACTERISTICS
Appearance: Like most Rivainis, Ash has much darker features than most from other countries. A light golden-chocolate brown skin paired with big dark brown eyes and long black hair. From a distance, her eyes will almost look black, but when up close, you can see the fine brown coloring of her giant irises. She usually keeps her long hair pinned up, but sometimes she keeps it down, especially if she's wearing her cowl and doesn't want her face to be shown.
Ash usually keeps 6 long black feathers in her hair, along with an elegant blue clip just above her left ear. Not only is more often than not wearing light brown leather armor, but she also keeps a wide range of leather strapping along her body, arms, and legs, along with leather studded gloves and boots.
Personality: She holds much of a personality as you would see with any other Qunari. She's a firm believer in the Qun and its philosophies. Much like what they say, she believes of all others than have not submitted to the Qun--other societies--are inferior to her own. She doesn't care about wealth or any other traditional desires lead by other the races, and instead only cares about her won survival as well as the success of the Qunari society as a whole. She will do just about anything for them, even if it meant sacrificing her own life in the process.
Don't let the Qunari title fool you, however. Just because she is Qunari doesn't mean she doesn't feel emotions, or can't love. Like all other Qunari, she feels love. She can form emotional bonds with others, she just doesn't... associate emotions with intercourse; no sexual attraction... With being raised by the Qunari, she believes that the act is only simply for breeding, and nothing else. But she still has friends, enemies, and those she holds close.
HISTORY
Vhenon was 7 months pregnant when she was only the age of 17. Growing up in a house with only her father who wasn't the friendliest around her, she began to resent him. He had always been that way with him, but she always put up with it. Until she became pregnant, but this only seemed to make him angrier. It wasn't the protection of herself that lead her to running away, but it was her baby. She ran as far as she could in the darkest of the night until she found them. The civilization belonging to a race that she learned about for many years. With being raised in her home, she dreamed of running away some day and living in a place where she "belonged". A place that gave her purpose. And those people were Qunari. The Qunari aren't people to turn anyone away who are willing to convert. They use every resource they can have in any way shape or form. They welcomed her, under one condition: she give up her baby to the Tamassrans when it's born.
She agreed. Understanding what she had to do. Immediately she was taken to the Ben-Hassrath where they trained her. 2 months later, she went into labor where she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. She never saw her, however, as they took her away immediately afterwards; preventing her to have any contact or sight of the baby.
They took the baby girl and trained her from the very beginning. Not only was she an elf, but she was small. That's exactly what they looked for in spies and assassins, and thus they began their mentoring and training. For the next 12 years she proved skill and resourcefulness in the art of archery and lock-picking. With her small size, stalking was a natural talent. That was when they knew what had to be done.
After she turned 12, they began the testing and afterwards she was officially assigned her job of spy and given her title, Ash (meaning, 'To Seek' in Qunlat). From there on out, Ash was eager to get her start. Assigned missions and actually put her skills to the real test. She went on a few small tests, until her first real big one. When she was 19, she was officially assigned on a mission of hunting down and spying on one of their own. Another Qunari Elf, who was an assassin for the Ben-Hassrath. The title was Tallis, an elf no different than her, except for one thing: she was weak minded. The whole reason why she was sent was because Tallis was sent on a mission to track down and bring back a Saarebas that had presumably gone rogue. The only problem was, this certain elf was also known for her betrayal of the Qun. She was known for deviating from her missions in the past numerous times. This time was no different. They suspected it to happen again, only this time, she never returned. Ash was sent to find her and when she was found, she was to be brought back to the Qunari for her retraining.
She was never found.
Ash wasn't hardly surprised either. She was an Assassin and formerly Qunari. Assassins are trained to leave no trace, make no mistakes. They weren't known for sloppy work. She was trained by the Qun; the best. Ash's mission was complete, however. She returned with the information they needed to confirm that Tallis had gone rogue. And now her job was done. For the last 8 years they have had assassins out to find Tallis and bring her back, but Ash has since moved on as ordered. She's been sent on many missions since, each one completed before the next. Tracking down Tal-Vashoth is her most common, but as of late it has pertained to other, greater topics. Ever since the Mage-Templar war commenced, it has been Ash's job to retrieve as much information about it as possible. This can prove to be an opportunity for the Qunari and they're not going to spoil it. Ash would travel to the ends of the world if it meant a greater society for the Qunari.
