How long has it been since we last spoke? One month? Two? I would have written you sooner but it is very hard to mail a letter without any kind of an address, no? I have been immensely busy over the past few weeks reacquainting old friends with new blades. The Crows do their best to keep me on my toes, but the music they play is no fun to dance to alone. Your new friend seems to have made quite the impression around Thedas because suddenly, I am not the only one without a gold piece the Crows talk about anymore. Let her know how inconsiderate she is for me, wont you? Business has been remarkably slow these past few weeks; no one seems to be interested in my services. So sad I know, but that’s the thing about tying to operate a small business in a country that holds a monopoly on planned death. Maybe I need business cards.
Perhaps it is time I take a holiday, a vacation from Antiva to set up shop some place else. Maybe I’ll pay a visit to the king of Ferelden, kings are good for business after all and I am sure many of his subjects would be interested in help when it comes to "negotiations" with the Orlesian officials. Indeed, Orlais has become quite busy with this whole mage Chantry quarrel, and is spreading it around like an unwanted rash. Honestly, if there’s one thing that could lift my spirits as high as to relive that night twelve years ago is an all out religious war!
