A greeting from a new face, and a question

A pleasure to meet you all, you may call me Corine, cori for short if you so wish.

Having played both DA: origins and DA2 (and in progress of replaying), I have found myself wanting to roleplay in this wonderful universe. I looked around on a couple of sites, and I stumbled upon this one, and from what I have read so far, it seems like something for my taste.

As for my question; I was wondering if this idea would be allowed on the site?

My idea is to create a female rouge elf, who has lived in an alienage for most of her life (city not yet decided). Her grandfather is a former dalish, so she will have minor ties to the dalish lores/beliefs.

At the start of the mage/templar war, her family would flee the alienage to escape the templars, since her mother and grandfather were mages. At some point, after finding temporary refuge in a city/settlement, Corine would fall in noble with a noble man, and eventually conceive a son. This, of course, led to a split in Corine`s family. As the son turned three however, they discovered that he was a mage, so the family decided to accept him. Not long after they got attacked by templars, and Corine fled the settlement with her little child.

So for the past 6-7 years, she has been on the run with her son, father and grandfather (her mother having been captured by the templars).

This means that Corine has her own "companions/supporting characters). I won`t use them to fight other people`s characters, they are mainly there to help me flush out Corine`s story. Her son and grandfather might use a bit of magic here and there, but it wont be for player vs player combat.

Glad you decided to come on by! I'm Mike, and I play the chars Alexander (guard in Kwall), David (leader of the orlesian rebels), and Teagan.

If the admins are ok with your idea (which I personally love) I look forward to rping with you! I personally use an npc for my char David, so as long as they stay outta combat I don't see the real issue. Maybe you could have someone rp as her son though or start a new file for him, cuz he seems like an interesting char to rp, and you can have multiple of your same chars in one thread.

But aside from that, I think it'd be really cool if your char was (or is in) kwall, cuz if so we could definitely have an interesting time rping there as Alex (my kwall guard) has mage sympathies, and it could lead to some interesting developments (especially when he's romantically involved with a templar!).

I`m pleased to see that your interested in the little description I gave, and the idea with the son is certainly one I`m gonna use if it gets allowed.

And I must say that you certainly peak my interest with Alex; It does allow room for good development and interesting topics. It also would`t be hard for me to place Corine and her family in Kirkwall, at least for some time. Who would think that the apostates you are chasing across the free marches, would hide within a "templar" city? xD

The name's Hailey, and I play Seraphina (mage) Lyaera, Raven, and Meredy (Elves) and soon to be completing my pirate character Celestia, I'm also planning to RP as Leliana or Shale.



Personally, I like your idea, my character just so happens to be an Elven Mage, and a child at that, so she's kind of parent-less.. and... lost xD

But anyway, I know this is pretty short but I've no idea what else to say, hopefully we can RP in future!
