Sometimes I wonder whether the Architect is truly evil.

Mavenna gave the woman a good look again. To be completely truthful, she did not look very much like a mage. But not like the owner of a book store, either. Not from what she knew about them, at least; she had a...mystical air about her, one that caught your nose rather than eyes. She could not quite make out what that...smell...was. It really wasn't a smell - a feeling, rather - but she felt as though she could smell it, but there was no smell to match that. It was almost an invitation, really. It encouraged her to keep on her questioning, and she could almost ignore the looks she knew people were firing at her back.
As she was about to open her mouth for more questions, though, the storekeeper abruptly began to speak about why she had come to possess the book. Why did she feel a need to do that? That more than anything made her suspicions arise again - why would a commoner want to know about healing, of all things, when the spells that were much more likely to harm you were from the schools of Destruction, Entropy and Primal? - yet that only made her tread on more carefully. She very much did not want to create a scene now.
"You certainly need to know everything there is to know about magic if you are to hide from those few who use it."
She didn't really want to pressurize her, but could not help but to do exactly that. Not yet, though. She had just played her opening move.
Darin reached out for his heavy purse, plucking out a heavy gold sovereign with his fingers, and handed it to the storekeeper reluctantly. It was still a full sovereign, and he had not yet managed to get over the shock of having so much money. The reward for delivering the message was a lot bigger than he had expected from a regular package delivery. Important orders from the First Warden to the Warden Commander in Ferelden, perhaps? Whatever it was, it sure wasn't worth the speculation. He was quite sure of it.
"A sovereign should be enough.", he said absently, plucking the corners of his dark-green cloak impatiently. Now that he had completed his business, he wanted out. Mavenna didn't seem to show any signs of the same impatience that now filled Darin, though. She wanted to talk to the storekeeper, out of all things. He could only hope it would not take that long.

No one studied healing to avoid mages, but Honovi made no comment. If the girl was a mage it was best to avoid drawing attention to it, and if no one else pressed the matter she would just let it be.
The dark haired man payed for his books without comment, allowing Honovi to relax her stance. As much as she ever relaxed, anyway, which wasn't really much at all. That minimal level of relaxation quickly disappeared, however, when a templar entered the brothel with his helmet under his arm.
"Good morning! I'm, uh, not on duty or anything, just thought I'd stop in on my way back to the Chantry barracks. Uhm... what do you have with dragons?"
The templar was very young, and apparently off-duty, but Honovi still eyed him warily. Nothing about the Chantry held a kind view of her people, and little Adelyne was almost definitely a mage. A slight nod of her head was all she could muster by way of politeness for a member of the order that had cost Honovi her parents and her hard stare made the boy blush from the roots of his immaculate brown hair right down to his shiny armour.
"Perhaps we will talk when you have helped your customer, yes?"
Another polite nod aimed at Adelyne and Honovi tucked herself behind a bookshelf under the pretense of browsing the titles. It would provide the archer good cover if anything unpleasant happened.

Arley found his books and was going to go pay for his products and leave, but then a Templar walked in. Not really what he expected, and he hoped that things wouldn't get out of hand, some of the Templars knew him in Denerim. He hoped that this man didn't recognize him, but Arley kept his hood on and his head low. He walked toward Honovi, "I picked a horrible day to be here," He whispered.
Shortly after a few of the young Templars friends walked into the shop, this was not good. Arley knew one of the Templars that walked in, he got away when they attacked Arley. He tried to keep his head down, and just walk out of the store, but he was spotted. "Hey! Stop!" yelled one of the Templars, he did not run, he stopped. "How can I help you?" he asked, the Templars drew their swords and converged around Arley. 'Great, exactily what I wanted to avoid' he thought, "I would suggest you put your swords away and walk on, I dont want you starting something you cant finish, that and I dont want to destroy this womans shop." Arley chuckled as he drew his daggers, but didn't get in his fighting stance he just stood there, the Templars didn't seem to know what to do, he showed no fear, his hands were steady, and his breathing calm.
"You have killed many of our brothers, surrender now, and we will be merciful!" yelled one of the Templars, they said that knowing he wouldn't surrender. "I don't need your mercy, nor will you take me to your chantry, I will kill every single one of you, or die trying, unless of course you decide to just leave now."
