Arley felt the small sparks hit his wrists...No matter, they weren't strong enough to do any real damage, and he wasn't going to hit him anyway, but it was good that Kenneth was using his wits, as a Warden, cunning was your greatest ally. Afterwards to his suprise, the Mage pulled out a dagger, Arley roared with laughter. But he didn't knock it from his hand he waited, waited for his next move. He also laughed at his little quip, "You look like a princess too," Arley said in his stance.
Kenneth started shooting sparks in every direction, some hitting his leather armor, some hitting his feet shocking him a little, a few sparks flew past his ears, was he truly in control? It didn't matter Arley had to act, then he threw down his dagger, saying he didnt know how to use it, Arley could tell he didnt even hold it right. Arley smiled at Kenneth, the small Elven Mage had won this duel Arley though. "Ok, ok that is enough, I don't want to catch a spark to the face. I have to say my assumption of you was a correct one, you are skilled indeed, you can even go tell your brother that you bested a Grey Warden in a duel! Though I didnt try to hit you, I could have, you leave lots of openings in your defense, but that is ok!" Arley declared "I will train you in combat with your staff, you may not be able to kill with it, but you will be able to get the less skilled folk off your back." Arley took a breath.
"No my Princess, how about that drink," Arley said jokingly, it was probably amusing to the people of the village seeing Kenny fight in a dress, you could visibly tell he was a man, so it was hilarious. "Also, though mages dont wear armor, you might want to find some strong leather that wont hinder movement so you dont get stabbed or get an arm lopped off by a Darkspawn blade, or any blade for that matter." Arley started walking toward the local tavern after that, knowing that Kenneth would follow.

He figured Haste would get the job done, or so he assumed. It always looked like he wasn't in control when, in fact, it's supposed to be fast, quick and random. Random, as long as it hit the other. If he were supposed to use the spell another way he probably wouldn't. It was useful.
"I didn't want to duel you to be quiet honest. My spells weren't nearly as strong as they could have been." Kenny put his dagger back in his boot then placed his staff in a safe place near by. He didn't want to risk getting caught again.
"I wear some armor." he replied with a chuckle. "I'm a strange mage, I suppose."
Kenny followed Arley feeling more funny looking than ever. A male elf wearing a pink dress heading to a tavern with some buff guy. It were too funny a sight for people to not look or laugh. He wanted to laugh himself.
"Time for drinks. I will not sit like a lady." he said jokingly. "If I'm a princess I'll do as I please. Only graceful."

Arley sat down at the bar of the tavern, he waved to the barman for a drink. "Vodka please, three shots, and one ale." Arley told him, the Bartender filled him up a tankard full of frothy ale and three shot glasses of clear vodka. "I hope you can drink, princess, because I drink like a horse," Arley laughed then took his shots then chased them down with the ale. He could feel the slight head change as the alcohol took effect. He waved the barman for another few shots, he decided to take it slow; he didnt want to be stumbling drunk when he walked out of the tavern.
He turned his attention to Kenneth. "So, I would like to know something...Why are you here in Volare? Do you just travel from place to place?" Arley might have asked him earlier but he couldn't be sure. Still this wasn't a very disirable town, atleast Arley didnt think so. He took one of his other shots and coughed as it went down the wrong pipe. "Oh man...that burns," Arley said his eyes got teary as the alcohol burned his windpipe. Arley took a drink of his ale to wash it down.
"This is my hometown, I havent been here in a while, I decided to come here after a woman named Honovi saved my ass while I was running through the Brecillian forest. Shes some sort of mecrcenary I suppose. Im going to try to find her after we do your joining." Arley told him, he had missed Honovi, many people look at him for help not the other way around.

He tried to take a seat beside Arley... the dress hooked on a nail. He stumbled, "How they wear these things..." He laughed tugging the dress free. "I'm falling over myself and I haven't even had a drink. "
He pulled the dress up a little before attempting to sit again. Success. Only now it was bunched under his bottom making him lopsided. Tugging once more, he pulled it from under him. A strap fell. He lifted it back to his shoulder.
"Sodding....." He gave up. "It'll do what it'll do I give up. A glass of your best ale and a few shots of vodka." Kenny looked over to the man who was giving him a weird look. Instead of being rude he shook his coin bag. He wasn't paying the man to stare at him after all. He wanted his drinks.
"My brother and I travel a lot. Mainly to avoid idiots and to find our younger brother. We... well I... don't much care for the city life anyway," he paused to take his first shot. It burned for a moment then simmered down. "Honovi, aye? Some kind of mercenary. Seems to be a lot of ass saving going on." he chuckled.
An idea rolled through the hyperactive mind of his. It wasn't often he talked to mercenaries but if she saved Arleys butt she had to be highly skilled. "She must be some kind of skilled." he thought aloud.
Kenneth heard a noise from behind him. He craned his neck to see what all the commotion was. A drinking contest of some sort. A cute human girl standing near the group caught his attention. He would introduce himself if it weren't for his clothing. Now having a dress on wasn't so amusing. It was hindering his flirtatious abilities. He took his second shot of vodka out of frustration.

Arley listend to his little story, and became cirious about his brother. "What happened to your brother if I may ask?" He didn't want to his recruit to be offended. 'Yes she is a mercenary, and I've noticed she has excellent hunting and tracking skills. She also know the Brecillian Forest well, which is not a feat may can claim. I almost got my leg chopped off but a Templar Seeker and she saved my life nursed me back to health, and we went our seperate ways, and I figured I could find her and..." Arley cut himslef off from a little embarassment.
"You might want to have to get used to the city life. People are going to always be asking for help. Its more than just killing darkspawn, you are now a guardian of the land, and with that comes a new level of respect. The women love Grey Wardens," Arley smiled noticing that he was staring at a girl. Though, it was a little ironic that Arley has had his other clothes in his bag the whole time. But he kept it to himslef it was amusing.
"Hey Kenneth...You know I have clothes in my pack, you could borrow them if you like." Arley laughed, he felt bad for not telling him that he didn't have to be in a dress earlier. They where Arley's normal clothes, which he didn't wear often. Being an enemy of the Chantry kind of makes it difficult to relax in normal clothes, so he stuck to his armor. "If you can find a place to change that is." Arley was still laughing, this was a hilarious situation.

He listened to Arley's story before giving an answer. The Grey Warden cut himself off abrutely leading Kenneth to think he liked this Honovi woman. He didn't question though, it wasn't his affair. He only grinned with a nod.
"Asher went missing," he said simply. "I had left home to a party. When I returned I found my parents dead and Denneth hurt. Asher was just... missing. It was a hate crime of some sort I suppose. A lot of fighting happened that night. Shem attacked the Alienage is what I heard."
So the converstation wouldn't turn sour he thought of somthing else to say, "Respect and women. I like that." he gave a smirk. "I'd also like that change of clothes you're speaking of. They would be a little big on me but I don't care. You're such a friend for not sharing sooner." His tone was a little sarcastic but in a friendly way.
He held out an open hand for the clothes. "I know where I can change," he grinned with a quick glace at the human woman. "Question, this mercenary. Does she by chance take coin for jobs? Just curious."

"Hmmm...I would like to help you find your brother. Its not right that Elves are treated as they are. Yeah but get used to no women, and lots of Darkspawn, as a Warden you will beable to sense them, so they will never sneak up on you. But I travel in the cities alot lately seeing as there is the war going on and such, so if you travel with me it won't be likely that you'll see much darkspawn for a while. Though sometimes...I do have to go to the Deep Roads. But right, yes the clothes here you go," Arley chuckled and handed him the clothes.
"Who Honovi? I don't know, probably. You would have to ask her. Though she might have some protest, seeing as your young, but you will have to do your Joining first. She is pickey..." Arley explained, he didn't know how Honovi would react to this but one thing he did know is that she would do it, she might charge more or have some conditions, but Arley didn't know her well enough to say. But he would help this elf find his brother, nobody deserves that, to be abducted. "Oh and also, when you become a Warden you have an increased appitite. But in turn you become strong and faster. I have some other things I will explain to you later," Arley said as he took another shot. The Joining was a dangerous process and many have died in theirs, Arley hoped Kenneth and his Brother were lucky enough to survive.

Hearing that Alrey would help him find his brother lifted his mood. He could tell Arley was good company. Kenneth hadn't realized he said 'shem' until he'd already said it. He didn't call humans that often... not unless he was speaking of humans he didn't like. In that case he truly didn't care. Those 'shem' killed his parents, hurt his twin and mostly liking took Asher. He has often thought Asher to be in slavery now. The thought always set chills.
"Thank you for he offer. I'll take you up on that," he nodded. "Get used to no women? I can handle darkspawn and cities... No women though? This will be insteresting."
"Joining first then Honovi, some how grow facial hair despite my genetics to look older and have an increased appetite. No problem." he laughed taking a large drink of his ale. He was right, the clothes would be bigger on him. He expected them to be. Naturally, elves are smaller in height and weight. Plus, Alrey wasn't thin. He was built.
He stood up setting the clothes on his chair. "I'm going to change here." He gave Arley a fair warning. It wasn't like he would be showing anything... he just figured he would warn him. Pants first. He slipped them on underneath the dress then made sure they wouldn't fall off . He didn't care about his chest showing which is why he left the shirt for last. At least with the dress it covered everything. "Much better." He slipped on the shirt.
He picked up the pink cloth, "One moment." The human would look much better in it then he ever would. Besides, he would never wear the thing.
He walked up to her with confidence and whispered something into her ear. She giggled, always a good sign. He handed her the dress with a wink.
"As we were?" He grabbed his ale glass. "Get used to no women, huh?" he laughed at the thought. "Not sure that's possible."

Denneth sighed, as he slid his shoe against the wall slightly. The boy had always had an affinity for sitting oddly. It was something his parents always assumed he would grow out of. However, now at age nineteen - the elf lay with his back on the floor - feet propped against the wall. His head was resting gently upon the blanket he slept under. Upon his lap was a piece of parchment - in his hand, a piece of coal. Using the dim moonlight, he continued sketching idly, as he awaited the return of his brother.
Glancing up towards the crack in the wall that was provided him with the moonlight, he frowned. It had been...awhile, since Kenny had left. Considering he had just sent his apostate brother out in a dress during the later hours in a city that had a Templar presence was...well, it wasn’t his brightest idea. Denny had just reacted to Kenny’s dare - which ended with the elf running around in a nightgown. So he retaliated with the dare of running around in a pink dress he bought off of a rather nice woman just down the road. She gave him a discount because of his attire.
Placing his parchment on the ground beside him, Denny slid his feet off the wall and dusted his hands on his dark brown pants. Out of habit, he grabbed his twin daggers, and slid them into his belt, before sliding on his jacket to cover the fact that he was both lightly armored and carrying weapons.
Denny honestly wasn’t sure what he would do if Kenny was caught by anyone. Would he just rush in with his daggers until his brother was free? No. As much as he never wanted anything to happen to what family he had left - he understood that he would be throwing his life away. Most likely he would try reasoning with the guards - offer what coin they had. It wasn’t like they could figure out he was an apostate.
’Wait...where is his blighted staff?’ he suddenly wondered, looking around their temporary residence. A tickle of panic worked its way down his spine, as he leaped towards the door and out into the night.
Kenny was nowhere in sight - just as he was expecting. With a grunt of annoyance, he called his brother’s name. In response, the wind howled a bit harder. The rogue continued wandering - calling out his brother’s name every few minutes.
Finding his way further into town, he spotted the local tavern. “There’s no way he would...” Denny mumbled to himself, as his hand pressed against the door.
Inside, he spotted the back of the curly-mass-of-a-head sitting at the bar - talking to some strange man. A girl across from them was holding the pink dress that Kenny should have been wearing, and was smiling in his direction.
Sitting next to his twin at the bar, he glanced over at Kenny and frowned, “So...this is how you follow through with a dare, eh?” he shook his head, before a smirk pulled his frown away from existence, “Thought you’d been captured or eaten by an Arch Demon,” he scrunched up his nose slightly at the thought, as his eyes danced across the stranger who was sitting next to Kenny.

"Well there will be women, but, we will be traveling alot and not staying in cities to long, gotta stay incognito you know?" Arley said "It has nothing to do with your facial hair, you are hungry because you are growing; when you become a Warden your metabolism increases, manking you eat like a wolf, but you get stronger and faster. Reflexes more acute, but yes you will soon be finding yourself raiding the larder a the Keep," Arley snickered, Kenneth didn't know what he was getting himself into.
"But I warn you as a new friend, becoming a Grey Warden is not a joke, you will forever be a Warden, there is no running away or turning back, most dont get to know that." Arley told the truth, lots of Wardens have tried to run away from the Order, but once a Warden, always a Warden. Suddenly Arley heard a voice. "So...this is how you follow through with a dare, eh?” Arley turned to see Denneth, the twin. It was strange being surrounded by two people who look identical to one another, but Denneth didn't look like a Mage. Nor did he have a sword of anykind, neither was he heavily armored. Arley smiled he was a Rogue, the twin was eyeing Arley which was understandable; a strange man drinking with your apostate brother would raise an eyebrow.
Arley turned around and stood, he was like Kenneth, skinny and shorter than himself. "Hello Denneth, I am Grey Warden, Arley Voegeli. Its a pleasure to meet you," Arley stuck out a hand and smiled at Denneth. Most people relaxed when they heard that, knowing that most Grey Wardens where neutral in most political squabbles, that and you could visibly tell that Arley was a rogue. The vicious spikes poking from his shoulders, from his scabbards on his back. That and he wore a hooded tunic with a jacket that was made of leather and had a light chain inlay.
