As Corine spoke in a distant voice, Gespard took the opportunity to sit down on the bed, but listened to everything she said. Hearing that she-elf actually had once been in Orlais surprised the Emperor, it was not what he had anticipated, yet her story sounded to be interesting. She told him that her family had been on the run because of their conditions, but could it really be that bad? Humans did not normally hunt elves without good cause, what sort of things was it they had done to deserve such for four generations? She was not a Dalish Elf, from what he could tell, but clearly a city elf without the tattoos on her skin. To Gespard she was a mystery waiting to be solved, although he had the feeling he soon would get to know everything.
Watching the she-elf with keen eyes, he allowed her to sit on the very edge of the bed without protest. He had however hoped she would have come to sit down next to him, but for some reason she choose not to. Curiously his eyes followed her movements and about the things she said he became intrigued, she began to reveal a lot about her past and he could imagine all the things she had gone through, as similar much of it was to his own story, on how he had been chased because of Celene`s orders throughout the years. He could relate, although there was lots of things about her story that also made him wonder.
Then as she turned to face him, Gespard smiled back in a gentle manner and in awe he studied her beauty, her lips and ears. Thus as she approached and asked him the question, why he behaved as he did, he was taken a little off guard, but replied as his gaze remained fixed on hers, pleased by the touch. “A woman of any birth deserves respect mademoiselle, I may be rich and powerful, but I do not rush or force things unless necessary. And with you, I see no need to skip things so easily, your history sounds interesting and I would gladly like to know more. After all I will be staying here for a while, may as well enjoy it in more ways than one, yes?” He spoke in a clever tone, but became more aroused as a loving tension rose between the two. The breathing was so soothing and her sharp gaze captivated him, for a moment they stayed in silence, but then Gespard caught eye of her locket again.
“If you don`t mind…I have a question for you as well.” He gave a smirk and leaned closer, looking down at her locket as he slowly reached for it. “What is this?” Gespard asked and turned his glance back at her, wondering what sort of significant it had and what was in it.
Then when the moment felt right, the Emperor took the chance to lean closer and with closed eyes his lips touched the elf`s. A sweet and tender kiss it was and in the move Gespard`s breath stopped for a second, waiting and hoping that she would accept what he did, even though he just recently had said fun could wait.

It was..surprising to say the least, as the Emperor answered her question without hesitation, displaying his wisdom and...interest in her history..That little statement set off some alarm bells in the young mother; Kirkwall was the city of templars, and if he found out about her family...what would stop him from turning all of them in? His lack of compassion for other creatures had already been shown, as he coldly had announced her father to be hanged.
As the conflicting emotions began to stack up, the emperor moved closer, saying that he had a question as well. Seeing that he moved closer, and his eyes had gotten fixed on her chest, it seemed like his patience had run out...well, it was fun talking while it lasted, but even a man such as Gespard, had his limits and-..
"My..locket?". A head was tilted, sky-blue eyes looked at him in disbelief. A protective hand quickly rose to her chest, the slender fingers locking around the cold metal, preventing his reaching hands from touching it. "Oh..it is nothing special your grace, simply the reason that I wake up every day". Pushing the locket on a few spots, she opened it up, holding it between both of her hands like it was the most valuable thing in the world. Hesitant at first, she edged closer to him, her legs touching slightly as she turned her hands towards him, the content of the locket coming into view.
On the left side, a group of five elves were gathered, four adults and a single child; The two females both had short ears and brown hair, their lips tweaked into happy smiles. The two males had long white hair, on eof them having Dalish tattoo`s in his face, and considerably longer ears than the rest. The child was a young female, carrying a bow and arrow.Short ears poked out of her chestnut brown hair, and a proud big grin was displayed on the young face. The similarities and age difference, indicated that this was a family.
"An old token of the better days". The other side of the locket, displayed a smaller gathering; A stunningly beautiful elf woman, with very long brown hair, dressed in a drakeskin armor, with a soft smile on her lips. A human male with blonde hair and a big relaxed smiled were standing next to her, his arm curling around her curved waist. He was obviously taller than her, but it was easy to see that there was an age-gap between the two. Nestled between the two, a little human boy, no more than 6 or 7, was smiling big. The pale skin, blue eyes and white hair, made the young Amon easy to recognize.
"Its-..", her words fell silent, as he moved even closer, this time lowering his head like before. Apparently the Emperor felt that the moment was right..and well, it actually was. Thinking of her family brought warmth and comfort, feelings he had given her, with the slight occasion of discomfort. And for all the patience he had given her, denying him a kiss a second time would seem rude and offensive...and she doubted he would take rejecting well a second time.
So, at least for a brief moment, she allowed the Emperor his will, laying her head back..And just like before, he surprised her once more; Instead of just going for it, he halted for a second, as if he was waiting for her permission. "Why the halting, your grace? As you have said, your night is spend with me; how it goes, is how you want it to..". Her left hand crept onto his cheek again, the other one lightly grasping his left shoulder. A little smirk came into view as she lifted her head slightly. "Besides, how you Orlesians kiss has always been a mystery to me..". Not wanting to put him in a bad mood, she closed her own eyes, putting her soft lips against his slightly rougher.
Sweet, gentle, balancing on the line between tender and passionate. It caused a shiver through her entire body, her right hand tugging slightly in the fine fabric on his shoulder. Feeling a small moan rumble in the back of her throat, she eventually withdrew, resting her head against his chest, the fine fabrics of Orlais brushing against her pointed ear. Even from a single kiss, her heart was raising...but why?
"Quite..well it seems"

As Gespard were just about to reach for the locket, Corine immediately protected her valuable item by placing her hands on it, although in response to his question she answered him as she chose to reveal its content. Within he could see two paintings; on the one side stood a group of elves, who resembled each other greatly and from what he understood it was Corine and her family, while on the other image he could clearly see it was her standing alongside a human noble, whom between them stood a child. By what was told and from what was seen, Gespard realized the obvious. It all became clear to him that the reason why she had been hesitant and why she had been protective of her gear was all due to her past. Apparently she came from a long lineage of elves, and she had most likely spent the night with that human, as the child on the painting resembled them both. Whether or not his conclusion was correct, he did not know, although just as he were about to ask, he lot the thoughts fade as he became captivated by the moment, and thus without thinking he took the chance to kiss.
With patience Gespard waited for Corine to accept his move, but when nothing happened, except that she spoke, he re-opened the eyes and listened. She seemed surprised, as if she had not expected the Emperor to halt his kiss for her. It made him wonder what she and everyone else thought about him, did they not realize he was just a simply human like everyone else? Why did he need to be forceful, when he could be a gentleman and let both enjoy it. He knew rushing things was never a good idea, even if one had power and wealth, this he had learned the hard way, although sometimes one would need to experience things before understanding it is wrong. Silently he looked at the she-elf and when she mentioned the typical Orlesian kiss, he had to smile. She wanted to know how it felt and it was understandable, due its legendary rumour across Thedas, and so without a word he obliged her wish.
Leaning in with closed eyes, Gespard rested his hand on her thigh, while the other rubbed her neck below the right ear and as they shared a long and passionate kiss, he included the tongue. The more it intensified, the louder ones moan`s and breathing got. It was amazing and the Emperor did not want it to end, but after a moment they stopped. The she-elf seemed hesitant to continue, either that or she simply wanted to relax in his embrace and as she pressed her cheek against his chest once again, he could feel her touch through the light and delicate fabrics. With arms wrapped around her, Gespard held Corine close and just as he kissed her head, he rested his chin upon her forehead. “A pleasure mademoiselle.” He said and glacned down at her, knowing she had enjoyed it just as much he had.
With no need to ask any more questions or say anything else, Gespard lifted his chin from her head and with kind look at Corine, he pushed her face gently up to look at him. Then as he slowly laid her backwards onto the bed, he leaned down to continue the kiss, wishing for them both to enjoy the night as much it allowed, hoping she didn`t mind.
Fade to black…

The blonde human brushed aside the thick bushes, trained eyes looking around for any sign of life. Behind him, a much shorter woman was tugging onto his hand, her graceful steps making no sound, as they entered the clearing. Having spotted nothing else but a couple of birds, the human led the elf-girl to their usual spot underneath the old tree.
They had meet on this very spot a few months ago, and almost every night they would sneak into this clearing, their own little world, in order to forget the worries of their very different lives. But unlike the other times, tonight would be very different; they would cross the barrier, ignore the risks and feel nothing but happiness.
The elf shyly looked to the young human noble, her short body shivering on the prospect of entering adulthood. But as he laid his hand on hers, and their eyes met, the young elf could't help but to smile, and utter his name in joy...
"Azrael..."
There was a twist of a short pointed ear, followed by a displeased groan. She hugged the large pillow next to her tighter, trying to ignore the rays of sun streaming onto her eyes. How dared the big ball of light to disturb one of her fondest memories? Well, she would't go down without a fight! Corine, in an act of desperation for more sleep, buried her head against the pillow...only to feel a gush of hot air blow across her right ear?
As her eyes slowly adjusted to the cursed light from the sun, they suddenly flew open. It was no pillow that was caught in her tight embrace, no it was a living thing...a human even. Their legs were tangled in an odd, yet comfortable fashion, and his hot breath felt pleasant against her hair and ear. In a daze, Corine reached up with a free hand, running a hand across his bare chest, her soft cheek finding the texture of his skin oddly pleasant to lay against.
But as her fingertips ran over the toned chest, she only found unfamiliar ridges and curves, and there was also a lacking feel of blonde hair tickling her neck...Avoiding unnecessary movement, she twisted her neck slightly, gazing up on the face of the human. He wasen't Azrael, and this man was far above any noble in his country.
No, this was Gespard de...whatever his last name was, she could't remember at the moment. The orlesians always had weird nicknames, and remembering such a silly craft of words, wasen't really appealing at the moment. The point was that he was "the" Gespard, Emperor of Orlais, who ordered her father to be beheaded without hesitation, only sparing him because Corine, being the faithful protector, offered her company for one night.
So by all means, she should stand up now, steal some coin and clothes, find her gear in this piece of Orlais, and return to Lowtown...but the only movement she made was sitting up in the bed, carefully hugging the sleeping Emperor's head against her bare chest, the fine silken sheets covering up their bare bodies. In this oddly relaxed mood, she found herself whispering words of the Dalish, taught to her by her grandfather..
"Nehn Sahlin, Gespard.."
